Nā Kilo Waʻa monthly survey workshops at Hilo One (Bay Front) on Hawaiʻi Island engage participants in current marine stewardship efforts created based on community needs and interests.

Ka Honuaiākea Voyaging Program trains High School and Undergraduate students in the marine stewardship methods of Nā Waʻa Mauō. During our seven month program, participants voyage in nā waʻa kaukahi (single-hull outrigger canoes) between coastal communities of Hawaiʻi Island learning about of the moʻokūauhau, wahi pana, and moʻolelo of these places from their host communities.

Ka Papa Kūkaʻi Aloha Waʻa cultural exchange experience immerses waʻa students in a three week cultural exchange with other waʻa communities throughout the Polynesian archipelago. Kūkaʻi Aloha Waʻa students will share and exchange their relationship to waʻa with other waʻa communities.

The Moana Nui Festival - A biennial event that highlights the arts, science, music, and culture of Hawaiʻi and our Polynesian cousins. The three day event hosts nā huakaʻi kaiāulu (community field trips) and nā hōʻike haumana (student presentations) as well as features arts and music from across the Pacific.
